You wanna play a little game?

We dont always have access to the gym. Work and everyday life can interfere with our workout routine. Its time to stop making excuses. You can workout at home, in a hotel room or just about anywhere with bodyweight exercises. Marines, Navy and army have been using a different type of card game to create new workout routines.

Fitness Spades lets you build a workout routine for the day in a way that is sure to work your muscles to a whole new degree. Muscle confusion. Rather than focusing on predetermined reps and sets, Fitness Spades lets you draw a card and you will be given a workout and number of reps to complete.

If youre truly looking for punishment, you can push yourself to the extreme with a single workout. Ever done 54 sets of push-ups with varying rep ranges designed to confuse your muscles to work to their fullest capacity? Its not easy.

In order to build muscle, you have to control two factors: volume and intensity. This app lets you control those parameters by adjusting the number of decks and how many multipliers you want to add to each workout. When using bodyweight exercises, you can add weight (wear a backpack) or modify the workout to make it more difficult.

With or without the gym, you can burn fat, gain muscle and achieve your fitness or weightloss goals with the help of Fitness Spades. Consider it the personal trainer you always carry with you.

The app is also perfect for beginners or anyone with limited access to a gym.

Now go train hard!

Rules:

Fitness Spades is easy to play. You draw a card and must perform a workout based on the card you drew.

The rules are simple:

Draw a card by tapping on the screen.
You are given a brief rest interval.
Perform the exercise assigned by the card for the set number of reps. When done, draw the next card.
When you can no longer perform the exercises given, tap on Finish. If you manage to make it through the whole deck -- 52 cards plus two jokers -- the game ends automatically.
The finish screen will show your totals for each exercise. Your ultimate goal is to beat your total next time you play.

Settings:

Its possible to do more than one exercise, or use multiple decks with different multipliers.

Exercise Multiplier: The default is one. This means, a six of spades would require for you to do six pushups. If you set the multiplier up to two, you will have to do 12 pushups for that same six of spades.

Rest Multiplier: The default is two. Using the same six of spades example, your rest time would be 12 seconds. You can set the rest multiplier to your liking: shorter rests, or longer rests.

Number of Decks: You may eventually get to the point where one deck is too easy to push through. If this ever becomes the case, you can increase the number of decks needed to complete the workout.

Multiple Exercises: This setting allows you to specify the type of exercise you want to do for each card suit you draw.

You can also feel free to edit names of exercises. Simply click on the exercise name and rename it to the exercise you want to perform.
